the 2012 contest rules

PRIZES & SCHOLARSHIP

• 1st Prize: a 4.300,00 Euro Scholarship, Cup, Diploma, participation in a maximum of 10 prize concerts to be organised with the ensemble “Celeste Armonia”, a dedicated page on the website www.celestearmonia.org and 10 copies of the CD recorded during the Final - Gala Concert.

• 2nd Prize: a 2.500,00 Euro Scholarship, Cup, Diploma, participation in a maximum of 5 prize concerts to be organised with the ensemble “Celeste Armonia”, a dedicated page on the website www.celestearmonia.org and 10 copies of the CD recorded during the Final - Gala Concert.

• 3rd Prize: a 1.200,00 Euro Scholarship, Cup, Diploma, participation in a maximum of 5 prize concerts to be organised with the ensemble “Celeste Armonia”, a dedicated page on the website www.celestearmonia.org and 10 copies of the CD recorded during the Final - Gala Concert.

• “Province of Rome” Special Prize - reserved for the best finalist, not awarded other prizes during this Competition, who resides in the Province of Rome. 1.000,00 Euro scholarship, engraved plaque, Diploma, participation in a maximum of 5 prize concerts to be organised with the ensemble “Celeste Armonia”, a dedicated page on the website www.celestearmonia.org and 5 copies of the CD recorded during the Final - Gala Concert.

• “Oratorio” Special Prize - reserved for the best performance of a piece taken from an Oratory, performed during the Qualifying round and the Semi-final: 500,00 Euro scholarship, engraved plaque, Diploma, participation in a maximum of 3 prize concerts to be organised with the ensemble “Celeste Armonia”, a dedicated page on the website www.celestearmonia.org and 5 copies of the CD recorded during the Final - Gala Concert.

“Youngest Hope” Special Prize: reserved for the youngest finalist (Maximum 24 years old) not awarded with one of the three main prizes. 500,00 Euros scholarship, engraved plaque, Diploma, participation in a maximum of 3 prize concerts to be organised with the ensemble “Celeste Armonia”, a dedicated page on the website www.celestearmonia.org and 5 copies of the CD recorded during the Final - Gala Concert.

- For all finalists: Diploma, participation in maximum 2 prize concerts (with repayment of no more than € 250 expenses, for the trip and accommodation) and 2 copies of the CD of the Gala Concert.

- To all participants: diploma of participation at the end of each round. The organisation will not mail the diploma by post.

  • If there is a tie, the amount will be shared among the entitled parties.
  • The Special Prizes “Young Hope” and “Provincia di Roma” will be verified by the Jury before the official announcement by checking the identity cards or other equivalent document of the participants.
  • If one of the three main prizes is awarded to the youngest finalist, the scholarship for the “Young Hope” Special Prize will be automatically given to the next youngest finalist if eligible (if still under the age of 24).
  • The prize “Oratorio” will be ‘awarded to a singer or singers who have performed arias taken from an Oratorio, performed during the Qualifying round and the Semi-final. In the case of such winner not reaching the final, they will be required to perform on stage during the Final - Gala Concert and will perform it as an additional item, and not be judged on it by the Jury as it will be intended as a concert performance.
