Let's Sing Oratorio Music!

"Let's Sing Oratorio Music!", is the winner of the Creative Europe programme call and is promoted and co-financed by the European Union. It is the first project in Europe aimed at discovering the beauty of the musical Oratory, and it will be carried out in Italy by Accademia Musicale Europea.

The project was articulated through a creative laboratory designed to enrich and promote, at the same time, both musical education in schools and the collaboration between teachers and students with young professional musicians to make them try an unforgettable theatrical experience, participating in the shows as protagonists.

The activity in Italy was 2 editions of the "Sacred Music International Competition" to find the soloists for 2 International productions based on Oratorio Music: The Creation by J. Haydn and "A promised Land" based on Handel's Oratorios.

The Creation.

The shows dedicated to Haydn's "The Creation" Oratory were on stage on  May 11 e 12 2022 and was realized in Cosenza with the Partnership of the Municipality of Cosenza and with the patronage of the Pontifical Council for Culture at the Rendano Theater. On the 11th of May at 10:30 a.m. more than 700 students and teachers enjoy Hayd'n Oratory. The day after there was the second show with a relevant presence of the public.

The guiding choirs were the Small Choir of the Rendano Theater in Cosenza, prepared by La Fabbrica del Suono  -M ° Maria Carmela Ranieri - who was responsible for the coordination between the schools - and the Youth Choir of the Liceo Musicale Lucrezia della Valle di Cosenza prepared by M ° Saverio Tinto.

Conductor of the Orchestra of Conservatorio di Cosenza "Stanislao Giacomantonio" was Fabrizio Da Ros.

Both choral ensembles are made up of children and young people from all over the Province of Cosenza. The project benefits from the patronage and collaboration of the OCC Calabria - Feniarco (Organization Cori Calabria) chaired by Maestro Gianfranco Cambareri.
